Fuelling ambition for the the next wave of talent

Last month ATL attended another of their local county shows to draw in fresh talent while building a strong and positive brand presence. Nantwich Show works to celebrate the best of British agriculture with a focus to “Educate, Promote & Inspire” visitors about agriculture, careers and where their food comes from. This was a great opportunity for ATL to discuss different paths within the poultry industry.

The Nantwich Show has been a key event in the Cheshire calendar since 1897, celebrating British agriculture, rural traditions and local businesses. Over the decades, the show has evolved and grown in to one of the UKs most respected one-day agricultural events.

This year, they were proud to celebrate 100 years of Nantwich Young Farmers – a milestone for the next generation of farming. This was a brilliant opportunity for ATL to find out if any of the roles available within the company could be of interest to the local students studying agriculture.

Alongside finding local talent, this show also gave the opportunity to showcase the different options and potentials for turkey meat, as well as educating the public on the top benefits for eating turkey.

ATL offered attendees a range of turkey food samples, including turkey sausages & burgers – produced by Usk Vale Poultry, a turkey, ham & leek pie made by The Pie Life, and a selection of turkey vol-au-vents. We had a very positive response to the samples, with several attendees expressing they hadn’t considered turkey meat to be an option for anything other than Christmas dinner.
