This month ATL attended one of their local county shows where they were able to talk to the upcoming generation of young farmers about different career paths & share inspiration to work within the poultry industry. This is a great opportunity for ATL to find out if any of the roles available could be of interest to the local students studying agriculture.
ATL offered attendees a range of turkey food samples to showcase the potential of turkey meat & to understand that it’s not just a seasonal product as many believe. These samples included; turkey in the form of sausages & burgers – produced by Usk Vale Poultry, a turkey, ham & leek pie made by The Pie Life, and a selection of turkey vol-au-vents. Visitors showed a strong interest in the samples with great feedback, as well as explaining that they have never thought to eat turkey in any other form other than a Christmas dinner.
